Experience Spanish Folk music and dance - Flamenco

Exactly a year before on a beautiful evening of 10th Aug, 2012, I celebrated my marriage anniversary with Spanish Flamenco. After one year, today on 10th Aug, 2013, I am looking back to that musical evening. Before describing that special evening, I would talk about certain realizations of life, which I am experiencing right now. Within this one year, so many things have happened, some good, some bad and some unexpected, some expected things and so on....... Life could never be the same. It is always unique at its present moment. Our priorities change, realizations differ, and we perceive the same things with a changed view point. I guess life unfolds with each new moment!

"I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times..
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever".

Guitar, hand clapping, story telling through songs and dance are the basic components of Flamenco.

Exclusive footwork and intricate hand and body movements of the dancers are unique.

The dancers change their expressions and rhythms of foot work many times during a single performance depending on the emotion of the story being told.

Sometimes the expressions are firm, and sometimes the dancers get engrossed with the rhythm so much that they spread joy and instill energy inside the viewer's mind.

At some point or the other all of the viewers were tapping their foots. Even I tried their steps, but it was a futile try.

Typically Flamenco is divided into two groups. One group of singers and another group of dancers. During the group dances, it was an amazing experience to see the way each of the dancers moved their feet all together. The sound of the shoes has the same rhythm as the music. The group of dancers is usually formed of women. It's common also to see a couple of dancers-one girl and one boy.

Another attribute which I liked very much about Flamenco is its special dresses. They are colorful, flowing and feminine. The colored flower clips which the dancers wear on their hair are charming.

Undoubtedly Flamenco is a wonderful art which transmits a positive feeling, energy and happiness to its viewers.

The performance of the couple..a boy and a girl was lovely. I enjoyed this performance the most.

So what do you like the most in the performances?
